Church & State was founded in 2004 by Rachel Turk and Nathaniel Crissman. The men’s and women’s collection debuted at an eastside fashion show during the Seaplane era, a formative time in Portland’s fashion history.

Church & State offers something different to the fashion conversation. The label explores minimalism and maximalism, feminism and masculinity, art and commerce.
